Brendan Webb

North Queensland Bulk Ports Corporation

Brendan commenced as CEO of NQBP in October 2023. He has extensive commercial ports experience as the former CEO of Ports Victoria and former General Manager Trade and Marine Operations and Acting CEO for NQBP from 2017 to 2022.


He also has more than 20 years’ experience in senior leadership roles across heavy haulage, logistics, engineering, and mining support, with a strong background in commercial sales, trade development, and 24/7 operations, including safety and emergency management.​


Brendan is the current Chair of the QPA.

Ports North

Richard commenced as the Chief Executive Officer at Porths North in August 2023. Richard commenced at Ports North in late 2012, and has moved through many internal positions, including most recently General Manager of Operations, prior to commencing in his current role.


He joined the Royal Australian Navy in 1988 and spent the next 20 years serving in various parts of the world in a wide variety of roles as a maritime warfare officer. 


In 2008 Richard left the Navy and took up a position in the United Arab Emirates as the senior advisor to the nation’s Critical Infrastructure and Coastal Protection Agency. 


Richard is the Deputy Chair of the QPA.

Port of Brisbane Pty Ltd

Neil is the CEO of the Port of Brisbane, and has led the organisation since mid-2021.


With a background in financial and strategic leadership, property and business development, Neil focuses on enhancing the port's role as a critical logistics hub between Australia and global markets.


His leadership is marked by commitments to health and safety and long-term sustainable growth, whilst occasionally overcoming industry obstacles.


Neil is the Treasurer of the QPA.

Dr Andrew Johnson

Andrew is the CEO of Gladstone Ports. With over 30 years of national and international leadership experience, Andrew has an outstanding track record of delivering impact and value across large-scale, complex, asset intensive and geographically distributed organisations spanning technology, engineering, regulatory, operational and customer service delivery environments.  


Andrew’s career spans a range of sectors including primary industries, water, energy, resources, the environment, emergency management, international development and national security.


He is a Fellow of the Australian Academy of Technological Sciences and Engineering and the Australian Institute of Company Directors. Andrew was awarded the Public Service Medal in the 2024 Australia Day Honours.

Ranee has over 25 years’ experience in the port and maritime industry. As CEO of Port of Townsville limited, she is responsible for the strategic leadership, direction and operation of the Ports of Townsville and Lucinda – vital trade gateways for Northern Australia. ​


Ranee has held executive roles across strategy, business development, commercial operations, infrastructure planning, property development and governance.


She works in close partnership with stakeholders to deliver complex infrastructure investments and regional development initiatives.


Ranee sits on a number of boards and committees, including Ports Australia, Queensland Ports Association and Townsville Enterprise Limited.
